Additional H-1B and L-1 Petitions Fee
H-1B and L-1 petitions filed on or after Oct. 1, 2015, should not include the additional fee that was previously required by Section 402 of Public Law 111-230, as amended by Public Law 111-347, for certain H-1B and L-1 petitions. The additional fee required by Public Law 111-230, as amended, expired on Sept. 30, 2015.
Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for Immigrants
An Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) is used for tax reporting and processing purposes. ITIN is issued to people who do not have or are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN) from the Social Security Administration. The IRS will not accept an ITIN application without a tax return. An ITIN does not give permission for people to work in the United States.
Certain H-4 Dependent Spouses can apply for Employment Authorization

USCIS Has Reached H-2B Cap for Fiscal Year 2015
USCIS has received enough petitions to reach the congressionally mandated H-2B cap for fiscal year (FY) 2015. March 26, 2015 was the final receipt date for new H-2B worker petitions requesting an employment start date before October 1, 2015.

Currency Reporting Requirement

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will allow up to 13,999 nonimmigrants for fiscal year (FY) 2015 for the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI)-Only Transitional Worker (CW-1) program. DHS published the notice in today’s Federal Register.
New E-Verify Service Combats Fraud, Protects Identity, Educates Workers
